Dues of $33.00 for Sherman Oaks Toastmasters Club 147 are collected semiannually in September and March. For new members, dues are pro-rated monthly at $5.50 per month. The cost of materials is $21.75 and includes the cost of four publications, including The Competent Communication Program. Payment by check, money order, or U.S. currency is accepted. To apply for membership, please request a copy of Form 400, "Application For Membership", from one of the club's officers.
All applications are subject to the approval of the assembly of our club's members at our next business meeting. Applicants are invited to make a 30 to 60 second statement to our club explaining why they wish to become a member of Sherman Oaks Toastmasters.
Individuals whose membership applications are approved are then inducted into our club. The club and Toastmasters International will process the new member's application. Educational materials will arrive at the applicant's address in about 15 to 25 business days. All members in good standing receive monthly The Toastmaster magazine.
