The Able Toastmaster Award

(Replaced by the Advanced Toastmaster Bronze Award on July 1, 1999)

To receive the Able Toastmaster Award, a member in good standing of a club in good standing needed to complete the following:

• The requirements for the Competent Toastmaster award;

• Complete any three Advanced Communication and Leadership Programs for a total of fifteen speeches;

• Serve a complete term as a Club officer (President, Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Vice President Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, or Sergeant At Arms);

• Present three speeches outside the Toastmasters Club.

With the Project Completion Record near the back of the three Advanced C & L Programs and the Vice President Education's initials (by another club officer if the member was the Vice President Education), the member completed the Able Toastmaster Award Application. The member could then earn the Able Toastmaster Bronze award.

After Toastmasters International World Headquarters received all the forms, the member received a certificate (see below). The member could opt to have TI send his/her employer a letter of commendation.
